The day program is based out of a centre where each individual contributes to our unique family. Light of the Prairies Day Program is an individualized program designed to accommodate 30 adults with developmental disabilities. It is a place where potential is realized and every person has an identity that is seen as unique and important. Each individual is given a distinct support plan tailored to his or her personality. That plan determines the best way for us to assist them in achieving their recreational, volunteer and personal goals. We believe in building meaningful relationships with our staff and clients and it is through these relationship that support is given. Activities and outings are a regular part of each day, helping to build daily living skills and integrate those we support into the community. We provide services for bottle and paper recycling. We pick up bottles and papers from a number of buildings and recycle them; anything earned goes directly back to the clients programming. Although we spend a large majority of our time within the community volunteering and participating in recreational activities, we also have the support of a center. The center provides an alternative for clients who prefer to spend time in a familiar place as well as a location where clients can take part in learning daily living skills and participate in work and/or recreational activities.

We look forward to hearing from you. If you have questions concerning our Day Program, please contact Sarah Koback, Associate Director, at, (306) 665-2748
